Gazing all around, as far as I can see
So many types of people, so different from me
There's a common ground between us
Once the facade is shed between us

Some are hurting, some are healed

Common ground joining us together is what I found
Because we appear and act unlike our fellow man
Is no reason not to stand on common ground

Take a good look at my face What do you see?
The surface of a person changed by God's love for me
Though we're all equal in humanity
Only some allow His love to truly set them free
The greatest common ground we share
Is access to our God who cares
